Dear Readers, this past Thursday evening, divisions of the SBHC Ministry Departments came together to enjoy an evening of fellowship. The evening ran rather smoothly with 37 attendees present. A diverse geographical representation was present with persons as far away as Detroit and Chicago in attendance.

However, as the evening progressed, things started to take a turn for the worse. Who ever heard tell of such a vicious game called UNO ATTACK? Do you know what can happen when you get 3 or 4 intense human beings involved in a vigorous game of Pit?! watch.

When the smoke had cleared...and the bodies were properly disposed of....one attendee went to the Intensive Care Unit.....and one rather intense player of the game Pit, promptly rushed to the ER. (honest!)

Finally, after the house was repaired as best as it could be (the blood stains on the carpet will just have to wait), I looked back on the evening and came to the shocking conclusion that a very high percentage of those in attendance had a "delightful" experience!?!

It is with great joy and, yet might i add, i twinge of sadness, that i inform you of yet another chapter closed in my young life. Alas, my 10+ year tenure as student prodigy of the Mistress Mildred Hamilton has come to an end today. With bitter-sweet memories i write this eulogy of my years as an indentured servant. As it is in every life, every good thing must come to an end. Who knows, maybe i shall now have more time to devote to the Shouter? Only time will tell. But until then, i shall enjoy my "retirement" and, alas...my FREEDOM!

Shelby County's own Sandy Allen, 53, considered the tallest woman in the world for most of her life, died at 2:55 a.m. Wednesday at Heritage House Convalescent Center in Shelbyville.

The world's tallest woman was laid to rest Monday. Hundreds paid their last respects to Sandy Allen, who died Wednesday from a recurring blood infection at the age of 53.

With the death of Sandy Allen on Wednesday, Shelbyville no longer can claim that the tallest woman in the world resides here, and the city has also lost one of its most colorful and interesting residents.

Various factors attributed to this inconvenience, the main one being a severe financial deficiency causing us to implement severe layoffs of many of our personnel. However, all this has changed. A new day has dawned for The Shelbyville Shouter! No more of this "hit-n-miss" stuff. No more "old news". No more wondering if TSS will post today. No, no my dear readers! The Shelbyville Shouter has finally experienced it's revolution. Its reawakening. Its rebirth. Its own cyber-renaissance if you will. Yes my friends, This truly is a day to rejoice! Spread the word! As she lay dying in Stephanie's arms, Stephanie thought of a promise from the Bible: "They that mourn shall be comforted". You will be missed Heidi.

Shelbyville mayoral candidates are getting ready for the November 6th elections. They are (from left) Democrat Dean McNamara, independent Scott Polston and incumbent Republican Mayor Scott Furgeson. The democrat on the left has a pony tail and the guy in the middle,well...lets just say he didn't get the dress memo...and the republican...alot of people don't like him. Pretty slim pickn's if you ask me! On Thursday a debate was held between the Republican nominee and the Democratic nominee. Read the story here. The independent candidate did not attend stating that "A debate in the Shelbyville Mayors election only benefits Democrats and Republicans." (sounds like a cop out to me)

This past Friday and Saturday we had a weekend Spanish revival with Bro. Lenard Sankey. Bro. Sankey, along with Bro. Don Davison, preached our area IHC the previous Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; so we asked him to come back on the weekend for a Spanish revival. Friday night, we had around 40-50 people there. After the service, we ate in the backyard of the Tompkins St parsonage.

Here's to the chefs....

Saturday night, we had about 110-120 there. The Spanish church in Frankfort In, brought a bus down for the service.

After the service, we went to the Evangelical Hall for comida.

Dozens of firefighters responded to an inferno Wednesday night that consumed the former Bridgers Manufacturing Co. building at 612 Blanchard St.

Dear Readers,

As I type this post, I am sitting in the Windy City, the commercial, financial, industrial, and cultural center of the Midwest. The sound of air traffic overhead greets me even as I type. The solitude and serenity found in Shelbytucky may have something over Chicago though. As you know, the Chicago Bears will play the Indianapolis Colts tomorrow for the Superbowl Championship. Today we will be traveling though both these cities. This is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity. Perhaps next year: Pittsburgh and the Patriots? That would be a trip! The above picture comes from my beloved brother and sister-in-law's private garden apartment view... of the internet. If it was their actual front window view you would be seeing snow and people walking around with layers of clothing... layers and layers... like astronauts ambling over the ground. I will proceed to go out in my one layer of clothing. Watching them go by and seeing the breath from their mouths makes me think I came a mite unprepared. But my wonderful, beautiful, practically-perfect sister-in-law did warn me! Oh, to have heeded that warning!!!

For upon this date 55 years ago, Lloyd & Mary Morrow, brought into this world, a little Canadian girl whom they named Sharon Irene Morrow. Sharon was the 3rd child to bless this little country home, soon she was followed by a little brother. After graduating from high school, Sharon completed her nursing education and became a registered nurse. Now some 30 years later she is still nursing and has been happily married to her wonderful husband Joe Smith for 27 years. She is the proud mother of 5 children- Stephen & his wife Jessica, Stephanie, Nathan, Andrew, and Benjamin.
